If you’re a Mac user, you need Hazel.

Hazel keeps your files organized, by watching whatever folders you tell it to, and automatically doing the actions you want it to.

For instance, delete duplicate files in my “Downloads” folder after 1 day. Or, move .jpg files into my “Graphics” folder. The possibilities are endless, whether you’re wanting some serious automation or some simple organization.
